CLEVELAND (CBS Cleveland) – Gabriella Drago, 19, says what happened at an Ohio bakery left her with a bad taste in her mouth.
The blind Baldwin Wallace college student and a friend went to Dick’s Bakery in Berea for some donuts. She says a worker immediately took exception to her seeing-eye dog, Freesia. Gabriella Drago says she tried to explain that service animals are legally allowed in stores.
“I walked in and they said that there were no dogs,” Drago told WOIO-TV. “So I explained to the woman that Freesia was a servicedog. So she was allowed in there. She said no, this is a bakery, you cannot have your dog.”
